After a successful career in the retail, security and professional service sectors, Steve founded ‘The Training & HR Consultancy Ltd’ in 1999. Working with established associates, the business has prospered, consistently providing Steve with an income in the top 5% and an enjoyable work/life balance.
Steve holds an MSc in Human Resource Management, an LLM in Law and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (and a member for over 20 years). He is a longstanding member of NXD Solutions, a provider of non-executives to the SME business world.
Steve and his company have worked with leading organisations including: KPMG, Pfizer, the Civil Service, EDF energy, ENI petrochemicals, Lindt Chocolate, Navitas Life Sciences, Linde forklifts, City of London Corporation, Kuwait Bank. They have also supported a wide variety of clients such as education, charities, manufacturing, retail, construction, letting agencies, hotel groups and telecoms providers.
He also advises, via Crown Agents (the UKs largest overseas development charity), a wide variety of overseas public sector organisations that are facing significant challenges. Recent work has included assisting in the development of a talent management and succession planning strategy for Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, a five-year business plan for Uganda Airports, an organisational design and development plan for Kenya Highways and an IT strategy implementation plan for the Kosovo National Health Service.
Outside work, greyhound and whippet owning, family-man Steve is a keen vintage car owner, mechanic, photographer, and occasional steampunk.
