Matthew’s recruitment journey began in 2003, when a chance meeting in Sydney Australia would change his career path forever!
“You would be fantastic at recruitment” said a lady he met and within two weeks of this conversation, he was working with her at the same Recruitment Consultancy in central Sydney.
After returning to the UK, Matthew spent the next 10 years in a variety of in-house recruitment roles – headhunting up to Director level and leading high-performing recruitment teams.
In 2013, Matthew was Runner-up in the Best Inhouse Recruitment Manager category at the National Inhouse Recruitment Awards and in 2014 he was shortlisted for the James Caan Recruitment Entrepreneur Programme.
Matthew has a passion for supporting start-ups and scale-up businesses, leveraging social recruiting and using advanced online search techniques to reach the very best untapped talent for his clients.
Matthew achieved Fellowship status with the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) and in 2015 he launched his own recruitment and headhunting business – Talent Seeker
Talent Seeker’s ethos is to combine the personable, highly engaged and ‘human’ approach of an experienced Inhouse Head of Talent, with the headhunting expertise of a high-end Executive Search firm.

Outside of work, Matthew is a dedicated family man, a lover of movies, music, warm sunny weather, the outdoors, most sports and is a passionate fan of West Ham United.
