People are at the centre of every organisation and Jacqui understands that every organisation of any size, like every person, is different.
Jacqui is a highly qualified HR specialist and Chartered Member of the CIPD, who has spent many years working with organisations with both a local and global presence. She has been based out of Cheshire, working with a wide range of clients and employee groups. She will work in close partnership with you to provide cost effective commercial advice, enabling your organisation to develop successfully. For organisations without senior HR support, she can be your own qualified HR Director, someone you can trust and who will really get to know you and your organisation. For organisations with senior HR support in house, she provides Directors with access to flexible and expert resource to call on when needed.
Work with Jacqui in relation to strategic consultancy, executive coaching, project work support or simply a timely response to a burning HR issue that you may have. She will listen to you, but equally she may well challenge your existing thinking and suggest pragmatic, best practice solutions.
AREA Director
Jacqui has successfully adapted her HR skills and knowledge in a wide variety of settings so she understands the need to get to know the organisation, its people and the way it does things and what it wants to achieve, as a backdrop to any HR activity.
She started her working life as a commercial and people manager with British Airways in a unionised setting, which sparked her to her interest in working with people and supporting managers as an HR Professional. She has a wealth of experience gained across all areas of the HR, Organisational Development (OD), training and coaching spectrum, within different sectors.
Her experience includes working on strategic people plans, improvement projects and day to day employee relations matters as a strategic business partner in the professional services world of legal and banking services and also public sector service organisations such as British Council, local government and healthcare with experience of working as a volunteer with CIPD on Public Policy matters. Jacqui has also enjoyed working with large numbers of SMEs.
Most recently she set up talent and management development processes for SKAO, a worldwide, ground breaking hi-tech radio astronomy and big data project based at Jodrell Bank, before taking a mini career break to confirm her desire to work as an independent consultant and coach, with the back-up of a franchise team, as a Director of Our HR People.
Jacqui’s passions lie in building trust-based partnerships with leaders and their teams, providing support and having the freedom to be a ‘truth-teller’ at times. She loves to provide training and coaching to help others be the best they can be and to work on HR and OD projects which change things for the better– give her the issue and a list of key people to speak to; then leave her to come back with pragmatic solutions!
Outside of work, Jacqui’s interests include art, theatre and films, travelling and spending time with friends and family, particularly in beautiful Anglesey. She also likes to keep fit and can regularly be found in spinning or yoga sessions or taking a dip in a local swimming pool. She is determined to learn front crawl. Jacqui has one husband, one dog (Teddy), and two daughters following their dreams in the worlds of medicine and dance.
